LET'S TALK ABOUT ORANG UTAN

Hey there fellows!

Have you ever watch a real orang utan or you just watch them at animal planet or some magazines? Did you know that Orang utan is a species that always spend their time at treetops. They usually kill their time by swinging at the tree branch and finding foods such as fruits. Have you heard that these orang utan are only found in two places which is the Borneo region and Sumatera, Indonesia.
Can you believe that?

They also called as a primates that have the least population in this world that is approximately 30 000 left in this world and this data is taken about 10 years ago. Can you imagine how much orang utan are there left at the Borneo and Sumatera now?

WHY ORANGUTANS' HABITAT IS DECREASING ?

The tremendous reduction of population number of orangutan is not because it extinct naturally but its habitat is being destroyed by the human means. The main cause of this habitat loss is because of :

1 ) Commercial logging

2 ) Clearance for agricultural activities

3 ) Conversions to plantation

Because of the above activities these poor creatures have lost both their habitat and the supply of food. Despite legal protection in Sumatra and Borneo, Orangutans are often killed for their meat.

Some people have different kind of savour. This is because some of these freaks, love to eat exotic animals meats such as orangutan. Isn’t that is stupid and an irrelevant action. The orangutan is a slow moving animal thus making it easier for the poachers to catch and kill them.

The most unforgivable thing is when they separated the baby orangutan from it mother to sell them to local zoo meanwhile its mother being killed for its expensive body parts. Even some of these primates are turn from wild animal into an entertainment that works for nothing but only for human profits. They were dressed in ridiculous outfit and been trained to do stunts while others are enjoying living freely in the forest. This is all because of money an entertainment purposes.

HOW TO PRESERVE AND CONSERVE OUR ORANG UTAN

*make it illegal to export part of animals

-some people love to make things fromorang utan's skin and many more.

*educate the public about orang utan.

- people will realize how important orang utan to us, as it is very special species.

*prosecuting poachers

1) we can prosecute this ungrateful people in the crime of hunting preserve wildlife animal that is our favourite primates the orangutan.

2) then we can penalise them

-we can ask them to pay fine when they make an animal trade that usually involve in the animal part of the body that is used in some local delicacy and medicinal purposes.

* donations to charities.

-there are many of charities in various countries that support preservation and development of the orang utan population. the charities are divided into 2 main types.

1) lobbying organisation

-for example World Wide Fund (WWF) they can use the donations to make representation to various goverment and legal bodies in the places where the orang utan are most at risk.

2)preservation organisations

-for example zoo. this type of organisations consist of ensuring the orang utan population grows and thrives.
